Mr. Helal Uddin is currently working as a lecturer (Economics) at Jamalpur Science and Technology University (JSTU). He obtained his BSS (Honours) degree in Economics from Comilla University with CGPA of 3.93 out of 4.00, securing first position in his department. He also completed his MSS degree with thesis from the same university, achieving CGPA of 3.93 out of 4.00 and securing first position once again.

In recognition of his outstanding academic excellence, Mr. Uddin has been selected for the prestigious “Prime Minister Gold Medal-2020”. He also received the “Best Student Award” from the Economics Club of Comilla University. Furthermore, he was honored with the “University Grants Commission Merit Scholarship” for attaining first position in the Faculty of Social Sciences at Comilla University during his undergraduate studies. Earlier, he earned Talent Pool Scholarships in both the higher secondary examination and class eight scholarship examination.

Alongside his academic achievements, Mr. Uddin actively participated in a wide range of co-curricular and leadership activities during his student life. He was involved with organizations such as the Rotaract Club, Economics Club, Economics Learning Center, and the Cox’s Bazar Students Welfare Association of Comilla University. He acted as a class representative (CR) at the time of attaining his Honours and Master degree.

To enhance his professional and research capabilities, he received several specialized trainings from IQAC, Jamalpur Science and Technology University, Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD), Technical Training Centre (TTC), the ICT Division, and the Planning Commission of Bangladesh. He also worked in different research project of Comilla University.

 Mr. Uddin has published several research articles in internationally renowned Scopus-indexed journals. His research interests encompass sustainable development, blue economy, environmental economics, agricultural economics, and climate change economics.
