Fisheries
I am Dr. Abdus Satter. I was born and raised in the Mymensingh district which is located in the central part of Bangladesh. I obtained B.Sc.Fisheries ( Hons.) in 1997 and M.S in Aquaculture in 2002 from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh.
Immediately after completing my Hons. degree, I worked as a Fisheries Specialist in IFAD funded project under the supervision of Community Developmen Association (CDA), Netrokona from june 01, 2000 to January 23, 2001.
In 2001, I shifted my job as a lecturer in the department of Aquaculture, Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Fisheries College( Affiliated by Bangladesh Agricultural University), Melandah, Jamalpur, Bangladesh. Subsequently, I was Promoted as an Assistant Professor in 2007 and as an Associate Professor in 2017 in the same department.
I was obtained my PhD degree in Aquaculture from the department of Aquaculture, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh in 2018. Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Fisheries, Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University, Jamalpur, Bangladesh.
I worked as founder Chairman of te department of Fisheries, Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University, Jamalpur. Presently, I am working as an Assistant Proctor and Member of Finance Commitee, Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University, Jamalpur.

Live Food, Fish Feed, Aquaculture, Fish Diseases, Fish breeding, Fish Biodiversity, Molecular Biology, Ornamental Fish Culture, Coastal Aquaculture and Mariculture, Mangrove Ecosystem.
