Established on 28 November 2017 under the Jamalpur Science & Technology University Act, 2017, JSTU was founded to expand access to quality science and technology education, strengthen regional development, and cultivate the skilled human capital needed for a knowledge driven economy.
We are building a university where learning extends beyond the classroom and research reaches beyond the laboratory. Our mission is to nurture graduates who combine intellectual excellence with ethical leadership, professional competence with social responsibility, and scientific inquiry with innovative thinking.
At JSTU, teaching and research reinforce one another. We continuously strengthen our academic programmes through outcome based education, modern pedagogy, digital learning environments, interdisciplinary collaboration, and rigorous quality assurance. At the same time, we foster a vibrant research culture that encourages creativity, critical thinking, entrepreneurship, and practical application of knowledge to address contemporary challenges. Our research agenda is aligned with the pressing priorities based on 4IR. Through research, innovation, and collaboration, we aspire to generate knowledge that creates tangible value for communities, industries, and public institutions.

JSTU is therefore committed to strengthening international academic partnerships, expanding research collaboration, promoting faculty and student mobility, and creating opportunities for global engagement.
